Diversity, equity, and inclusion at Dojo

From local bakeries to well-known eateries, Dojo payments serve over 140,000 places across the UK.

And something that’s fundamental to creating relevant, innovative products at Dojo is to build teams to reflect the diversity of the businesses we serve.

Our drive to improve diversity, equity, and inclusion is closely linked to helping employees thrive and innovating for better customer experiences.

If you care about your work, you’re curious, and you think customer-first, you have a place at Dojo.

To make sure you’re the best you can be throughout the recruitment process, let us know if you need any extra adjustments to help you thrive.

The Role

We are excited to announce that we are now welcoming Interns to join our dedicated team in Milan (Brera). As an intern at Dojo, you'll have the opportunity to contribute to shaping the future of fintech and learn a lot about Talent Acquisition for our self-employed sales team.

What you will do…

  • Learn how to use an applicant tracking system (Lever, one of the best!) and apply this in your role when screening candidates for our Payment Consultants position
  • Support end-to-end recruitment processes for the Commercial team which includes active sourcing, CV screening, interviewing and offers to join Dojo’s self-employed field sales team.
  • Assist with administrative and operational tasks such as drafting agency contracts, carrying out background checks and onboarding to set our agents up for success.
  • Support the local sales enablement team with Payment Consultant communications, induction days and management of the web portal where key information is held
  • Contribute to other tasks as needed to enhance engagement and organizational effectiveness.

What you will bring…

  • A degree
  • A positive attitude! Whether you face a problem or a challenge, you do your best to solve it proactively.
  • A real interest in operating in a start-up! We want to make the best of our time together.

Additional information:

  • The intern program will run from March to August
  • All our internships at Dojo are paid.

Dojo from the get-go

First launch was back in 2009. So with over 15 years in the payments industry, we’ve got a story to tell.

Dojo is built to soothe customer and consumer pain points across the world for over 140,000 customers.

And today, there’s over 1000 of us in multiple locations across the UK, Ireland, Spain, and Italy.

Our mission is to empower businesses to thrive in the experience economy by creating the tools and tech that turn transactions into meaningful relationships.

We do that through sophisticated EPOS payments integrations, fast transactions, hospitality bookings, and a strong consumer restaurant app.

Question: what’s curious, relentless, and customer obsessed?

If you’re keen to know the answer, you’re a third of the way to meeting our Dojo values.

If the following speak to you, let’s talk:

  • You’re curious. You have a real desire to learn and create.
  • You’re relentless. You keep going even when it’s easier not to.
  • You’re customer-obsessed. You know how important customers are to what you do.

Dojo home and away

We believe our best work happens when we collaborate in-person. These “together days” foster communication, drive innovation and spark our brightest ideas.

That's why we have an office-first culture. This means working from the office 4+ days per week.

With offices across Europe, we know a thing or two about staying dynamic. Need deep focus? Head to a quiet zone. Big ideas? Collaboration spaces have you covered. Just here for a catch-up? Our social hubs make it easy. Do work that counts, in spaces made for you.
