Diversity, equity, and inclusion at Dojo

From local bakeries to well-known eateries, Dojo payments serve over 140,000 places across the UK.

And something that’s fundamental to creating relevant, innovative products at Dojo is to build teams to reflect the diversity of the businesses we serve.

Our drive to improve diversity, equity, and inclusion is closely linked to helping employees thrive and innovating for better customer experiences.

If you care about your work, you’re curious, and you think customer-first, you have a place at Dojo.

To make sure you’re the best you can be throughout the recruitment process, let us know if you need any extra adjustments to help you thrive.

The Role

The Senior Talent Acquisition Partner will be responsible for attracting, engaging and hiring self-employed consultants. You will take ownership by creating a number of strategic sourcing initiatives to identify the best possible people for Dojo. Additionally, you will be heavily involved in helping us build a scalable, partnership driven recruitment infrastructure, with a range of initiatives and projects for you to contribute to and take ownership over.

What you will do…

  • Partner with hiring managers to understand the requirements for current openings, maintaining a consultative approach at all times.
  • Proactively engage with passive candidates through a variety of sources. Whilst we use Linkedin Recruiter, Infojobs and other Job Boards we want people who know this isn’t the be all and end all of sourcing.
  • Partner with 3rd party agencies specialised on self employed consultants.
  • Seek to go above and beyond to find the best people on the market.
  • Hold detailed interviews to truly understand the candidate’s suitability.
  • Advocate the importance of Candidate Experience.
  • Provide smart, concise reporting to your key partners.
  • Use data to your advantage, and utilise our ATS system to its full potential.
  • Participate in networking events, and be a brand ambassador for Dojo.
  • Partner with the Head of Sales on key projects and initiatives.
  • Support the set up for the 1st day of the new joiners.
  • Be honest, solution oriented and passionate about what you do.

What you will bring...

  • A strong knowledge of recruitment, especially focused on hiring self employed professionals
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to install confidence in hiring managers and candidates alike.
  • Experience of using and effectively utilising ATS systems.
  • The ability to thrive within a pressurised, fast-paced and ever changing environment.
  • Innovative, flexible and adaptable in your approach.
  • Commercial acumen and a desire to understand talent trends and the fintech market.
  • Excellent organisational and administrative skills.
  • The willingness to suggest new approaches and initiatives with the subsequent confidence to own and manage them.
  • The maturity to respond to knockbacks or challenges without being disheartened.
  • A big picture, long term mindset.

Dojo from the get-go

First launch was back in 2009. So with over 15 years in the payments industry, we’ve got a story to tell.

Dojo is built to soothe customer and consumer pain points across the world for over 140,000 customers.

And today, there’s over 1000 of us in multiple locations across the UK, Ireland, Spain, and Italy.

Our mission is to empower businesses to thrive in the experience economy by creating the tools and tech that turn transactions into meaningful relationships.

We do that through sophisticated EPOS payments integrations, fast transactions, hospitality bookings, and a strong consumer restaurant app.

Question: what’s curious, relentless, and customer obsessed?

If you’re keen to know the answer, you’re a third of the way to meeting our Dojo values.

If the following speak to you, let’s talk:

  • You’re curious. You have a real desire to learn and create.
  • You’re relentless. You keep going even when it’s easier not to.
  • You’re customer-obsessed. You know how important customers are to what you do.

Dojo home and away

We believe our best work happens when we collaborate in-person. These “together days” foster communication, drive innovation and spark our brightest ideas.

That's why we have an office-first culture. This means working from the office 4+ days per week.

With offices across Europe, we know a thing or two about staying dynamic. Need deep focus? Head to a quiet zone. Big ideas? Collaboration spaces have you covered. Just here for a catch-up? Our social hubs make it easy. Do work that counts, in spaces made for you.
