Dojo from the get-go

First launch was back in 2009. So with over 15 years in the payments industry, we’ve got a story to tell.

Dojo is built to soothe customer and consumer pain points across the world for over 140,000 customers.

And today, there’s over 1000 of us in multiple locations across the UK, Ireland, Spain, and Italy.

Our mission is to empower businesses to thrive in the experience economy by creating the tools and tech that turn transactions into meaningful relationships.

We do that through sophisticated EPOS payments integrations, fast transactions, hospitality bookings, and a strong consumer restaurant app.

The role

The Senior Reward Partner plays a critical role in shaping Dojo’s compensation and benefits strategy while leveraging data-driven insights to inform decision-making and optimise organizational effectiveness.

The ideal candidate will be a key advisor to senior leadership, using analytics to enhance the alignment of reward programs with business objectives and workforce trends.

What you will do…

Compensation & Benefits, Strategy & Management:

  • Lead the development of compensation and benefits strategies to ensure best practices and alignment with Dojo's strategic objectives. Where challenges are identified, develop tailored solutions.
  • Keep Dojo ahead of the game by bringing up to date industry knowledge and market trends and applying a strategic and creative lens to attract and retain Dojo-ers and ensure Dojo has a competitive offering for all roles in all markets
  • Ensure Dojo’s compensation and benefits programme is optimised through multiple initiatives. These include regular pay benchmarking reviews, updating our benefits package and actively collecting and reviewing employee feedback
  • Lead company-wide bi-annual salary review processes, bonus schemes, and long-term incentive plans.
  • Manage & maintain up-to-date records for salary bands (via Google Sheets, Ravio and Workday Advanced Comp module) and LTIP (CapDesk, other trackers as required).
  • Own relationships with third party benefits suppliers, maintain documentation explaining what is available to employees and act as primary point of contact for benefits queries from employees.
  • Utilise data to assess and recommend improvements to the ROI of the current compensation and benefits programmes

 Stakeholder Influencing & Collaboration:

  • Act as the cornerstone for our C-Suite, supplying them (and their People Partners) with the crucial data, analytics, and insights necessary to make informed compensation decisions that shape the course of Dojo. This includes managing and developing the Dojo Long Term Incentive Plan for our diverse job families.
  • Collaborate closely with relevant stakeholders to translate compensation and benefits program concepts into implementation
  • Partner with People, Finance, Legal, and other departments to address reward-related challenges with data-backed solutions.
  • Communicate complex data findings in a clear and compelling manner to support strategic decisions.
  • Develop and deliver effective program education/communication to increase understanding, promote compensation & benefits programs and shape employee engagement and understanding of their reward and how to speak to reward

Governance and Compliance:

  • Ensure all compensation and benefits practices are compliant with legal and regulatory requirements, including our new markets (Ireland, Spain, Italy and France) local regulatory requirements
  • Conduct regular audits of compensation and benefits to ensure ongoing compliance, data accuracy, reporting (e.g. Gender Pay Gap) and alignment with company policies and external regulations.

What you will bring….

  • In-depth expertise in core reward processes: Including equity, executive remuneration, salary review, benefits, and incentive schemes. Experience working with a RemCo would be a massive plus.

International experience: Knowledge and understanding of compensation and benefits trends & best practices across Europe, including significant UK expertise plus ideally one or more of the following countries: Spain, Italy, Ireland

  • Strategic thinking: Ability to think strategically about reward practices and their impact on business outcomes. You’ll have demonstrable experience owning & developing reward strategies for scaling international businesses
  • Analytical skills: Strong proficiency in data analytics, statistical tools, and HRIS systems (ideally Workday).
  • Execution Excellence: Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to execute efficiently and effectively, balancing speed and quality under pressure. Comfortable and proficient at switching between strategy and delivery, with this role requiring a blend of both.
  • Collaborative Influence: Ability to lead and influence without direct authority, fostering strong, collaborative relationships across all levels of the organisation. You’ll be experienced in directly managing and influencing C-level relationships and steering decision making.
  • Adaptability and Resilience: Thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, tackling complex challenges with a solutions-oriented mindset.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and a fast paced environment: Embraces evolving priorities and undefined problems, contributing to building processes and navigating change with confidence

Dojo home and away

We believe our best work happens when we collaborate in-person. These “together days” foster communication, drive innovation and spark our brightest ideas.

That's why we have an office-first culture. This means working from the office 4+ days per week.

With offices across Europe, we know a thing or two about staying dynamic. Need deep focus? Head to a quiet zone. Big ideas? Collaboration spaces have you covered. Just here for a catch-up? Our social hubs make it easy. Do work that counts, in spaces made for you.

Question: what’s curious, relentless, and customer obsessed?

If you’re keen to know the answer, you’re a third of the way to meeting our Dojo values.

If the following speak to you, let’s talk:

  • You’re curious. You have a real desire to learn and create.
  • You’re relentless. You keep going even when it’s easier not to.
  • You’re customer-obsessed. You know how important customers are to what you do.
