Dojo from the get-go

First launch was back in 2009. So with over 15 years in the payments industry, we’ve got a story to tell.

Dojo is built to soothe customer and consumer pain points across the world for over 140,000 customers.

And today, there’s over 1000 of us in multiple locations across the UK, Ireland, Spain, and Italy.

Our mission is to empower businesses to thrive in the experience economy by creating the tools and tech that turn transactions into meaningful relationships.

We do that through sophisticated EPOS payments integrations, fast transactions, hospitality bookings, and a strong consumer restaurant app.

The Role

If you love to develop cutting-edge automated solutions to tough business problems and craft game-changing insights with data that change how an organisation operates, this is a role for you.

At Dojo, the data function is a fascinating space, where you can really make an impact from day 1. You will have the opportunity to play an important role in its development. We want you to bring your expertise with technology and experience in solving commercial problems into an environment where you’ll be working alongside other experts in both domains to scale our processes and make smarter decisions.

What You Will Do

  • Shape the direction of data capabilities by adopting best-in-class data sources, tools, and practices.
  • Identify and implement data-driven solutions to improve decision-making and performance across the organisation.
  • Develop expertise in key business areas, acting as a strategic advisor to stakeholders.
  • Define and support key performance metrics (KPIs) with reliable data and reporting.
  • Partner with product managers, data engineers, and other stakeholders to build scalable data products.
  • Support teams with hands-on analytics using dbt, Looker, and other data tools.
  • Work cross-functionally with Sales, Operations, Commercial, Marketing, and other departments to deliver impactful projects.
  • Lead the development and implementation of event tracking and tagging, ensuring accurate data collection and integration.
  • Drive best practices in analytics engineering, sharing knowledge through design sessions and demos.

What You Will Bring

  • Expertise in SQL and data modeling with dbt.
  • Proven experience developing data reporting and BI solutions in commercial environments.
  • Ability to shape requirements, communicate effectively with stakeholders, and deliver high-impact analytics projects.
  • Strong attention to detail, high standards in data quality, and proficiency in data validation.
  • Experience working with large datasets and integrating multiple data sources.
  • Proficiency in data visualisation tools to drive actionable insights.
  • Comfortable working in an agile, fast-growth environment.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with Looker, BigQuery, Snowflake, and Google Cloud Platform.
  • Exposure to Python and JavaScript.
  • Experience implementing event tracking using a Customer Data Platform (e.g., Segment, Rudderstack).

If you’re passionate about leveraging data to drive business success and enjoy working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment, we’d love to hear from you!

Dojo home and away

We believe our best work happens when we collaborate in-person. These “together days” foster communication, drive innovation and spark our brightest ideas.

That's why we have an office-first culture. This means working from the office 4+ days per week.

With offices across Europe, we know a thing or two about staying dynamic. Need deep focus? Head to a quiet zone. Big ideas? Collaboration spaces have you covered. Just here for a catch-up? Our social hubs make it easy. Do work that counts, in spaces made for you.

Question: what’s curious, relentless, and customer obsessed?

If you’re keen to know the answer, you’re a third of the way to meeting our Dojo values.

If the following speak to you, let’s talk:

  • You’re curious. You have a real desire to learn and create.
  • You’re relentless. You keep going even when it’s easier not to.
  • You’re customer-obsessed. You know how important customers are to what you do.
