We’re reinventing payments.
In less than four years, Dojo disrupted the market to become the largest and most loved acquirer in the UK. Our payments infrastructure, purpose-built for in-person commerce, is game changing.
Now, over 150,000 customers across four countries choose to transact billions with us every year.
But we’re just getting started.
Our people are the driving force behind our success. They are our greatest investment and our ultimate competitive advantage. We hire exceptional people and give them the autonomy, trust, and ownership to thrive. The results take care of themselves.
The Role
We are seeking a Second Line of Defence (2LoD) Enhanced Due Diligence Lead to join our dynamic Financial Crime Compliance team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing robust second-line oversight of our global anti-financial crime framework. Reporting to the Financial Crime Operations Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the EDD process and controls are operated effectively and meet UK and EU AML requirements. You will also lead the EDD team across the UK and EU, support complex Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) reviews, and provide oversight of Customer Due Diligence (CDD), Know Your Customer (KYC) onboarding, and the name screening review processes across all our global operations.
This is a key position that helps safeguard the firm from financial crime risks by ensuring our controls are designed effectively and are operating as intended. You will bring strong expertise in both CDD and EDD, acting as a subject matter expert and a trusted point of contact for high-risk escalations from the First Line of Defence (1LoD) and Risk teams.
What you will do...
Lead and manage the EDD across the UK and EU, performing four-eye reviews on high-risk cases.
Review and analyse complex EDD cases, ensuring thorough investigations, clear documentation, and risk-based decision-making.
Drive enhancements to EDD processes, workflows, and delivery standards.
Produce and maintain high-quality Management Information (MI) and reporting for senior management and compliance committees.
Provide oversight and input into financial crime remediation initiatives, optimisation projects, and process improvements.
What you will bring...
Proven experience in a financial crime compliance role (AML/CFT, KYC/CDD, Sanctions) in FinTech and Payment industries.
Deep understanding of UK and EU AML/CFT regulatory requirements (e.g., JMLSG, ML Regulations, 6AMLD) is mandatory.
Strong expertise in CDD and EDD, with experience in high-risk client reviews (e.g., complex corporate structures, high-risk jurisdictions).
Familiarity with the SAR/STR process and investigation techniques.
Ability to work independently, managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced global environment.
A relevant professional certification (e.g., ICA Diploma in AML/Financial Crime, ACAMS).
