People Lead

The Role...

We’re looking for a People Lead (Spain) to be the driving force behind all People initiatives for our Madrid office. You’ll combine hands-on operational expertise with strategic thinking, supporting our teams day-to-day while helping shape how we attract, grow, and retain exceptional talent.

You’ll join a passionate, collaborative People team that’s focused on building an outstanding employee experience across all our locations. Reporting to our Chief People Officer and Country Manager, you’ll play a key role in scaling our culture, ensuring our Spanish teams feel connected, supported, and set up to do their best work.

What you will do...

• Be the first point of contact for all People matters in Spain - from employee queries to complex HR issues.
• Coach and empower managers to lead confidently and make people decisions that drive performance and engagement.
• Own the full employee lifecycle, from hiring and onboarding to development, performance, and offboarding.
• Partner with our UK People team to adapt global initiatives for the Spanish market, ensuring consistency and local relevance.
• Manage payroll, benefits, and HR data with precision, ensuring smooth, compliant processes.
• Champion Dojo’s values by creating initiatives that boost engagement, celebrate success, and strengthen our culture.

What you will bring...

• Proven experience in an HR generalist role with broad exposure across the employee lifecycle.
• Deep knowledge of Spanish labour law and HR best practices.
• Strong experience handling employee relations with confidence and empathy.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence across teams and geographies.
• A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with a passion for building great workplace cultures.
• Fluency in both English and Spanish (written and spoken).
• A degree in Human Resources or a related field is preferred but not essential.
