We’re reinventing payments.
In less than four years, Dojo disrupted the market to become the largest and most loved acquirer in the UK. Our payments infrastructure, purpose-built for in-person commerce, is game changing.

Now, over 150,000 customers across four countries choose to transact billions with us every year.
But we’re just getting started.

Our people are the driving force behind our success. They are our greatest investment and our ultimate competitive advantage. We hire exceptional people and give them the autonomy, trust, and ownership to thrive. The results take care of themselves.

Intern, Associate Software Engineer (Summer - 12 weeks)

Location: London (Paddington)

The Mission

Dojo is the fastest-growing fintech in the UK. We’re on a mission to empower over 150,000 businesses with seamless, elegant payment solutions. We don’t just "do" payments; we build the infrastructure of the high street.

We are looking for the next generation of engineers to join our Engineering Teams for Summer 2026. This isn't a "coffee-run" internship - you’ll be shipping code to production and solving real-world problems alongside some of the best mentors in the industry.

What You’ll Do

You won't be stuck in a silo. You’ll be embedded into one of our cross-functional squads (from Payments to customer apps to Data), where you will:

  • Build Live Features: Own meaningful projects from day one. You’ll write, test, and deploy code that directly impacts our 150,000+ customers.

  • Master the Stack: Get hands-on with modern engineering. Whether it's Golang, React, Cloud Native infrastructure, or Mobile, you’ll learn the "Dojo Way" of building robust, scalable systems.

  • Agile Immersion: Live the life of a full-time engineer. You’ll be part of daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives to deliver high-quality software iteratively.

  • Direct Mentorship: Gain invaluable hands-on experience and guidance from industry professionals who are invested in your career growth.

What You’ll Need

  • Technical Curiosity: A solid foundation in at least one programming language and a hunger to learn others.

  • Problem-Solving Mindset: You don't just want to write code; you want to understand why we're building a feature and how it helps the user.

  • Collaboration: You’re a team player who thrives on feedback and loves a "fail fast, learn faster" culture.

Eligibility & Logistics

To ensure this program is the right fit for both you and the team, please note the following requirements:

  • Graduation Year: This role is specifically for current students on track to graduate in 2027

  • Fixed Dates: You must be available for the duration of the internship: Monday, 29th June – Friday, 18th September 2026.

  • In-Person Culture: We are an in-person first business. We believe that for those early in their careers, there is no substitute for the side-by-side mentorship and social energy of a physical workspace. As an intern, you will be required to be in our Paddington office 5 days a week.

Why Dojo?

  • Work in our state-of-the-art Paddington office with world-class facilities.

  • Competitive intern salary.

  • Social events, lunch-and-learns, and a front-row seat to how a unicorn scales.

  • A potential fast-track to our Graduate Program for 2027.

Dojo home and away

We believe our best work happens when we collaborate in-person. These “together days” foster communication, drive innovation and spark our brightest ideas.

That's why we have an office-first culture. This means working from the office 4+ days per week.

With offices across Europe, we know a thing or two about staying dynamic. Need deep focus? Head to a quiet zone. Big ideas? Collaboration spaces have you covered. Just here for a catch-up? Our social hubs make it easy. Do work that counts, in spaces made for you.

Question: what’s curious, relentless, and customer obsessed?

If you’re keen to know the answer, you’re a third of the way to meeting our Dojo values.

If the following speak to you, let’s talk:

  • You’re curious. You have a real desire to learn and create.
  • You’re relentless. You keep going even when it’s easier not to.
  • You’re customer-obsessed. You know how important customers are to what you do.
